Tom Gibbons is an Animation Supervisor at Tippett Studio with over 35 years of experience in both stop-motion and computer animationa rare dual expertise. Using digital pre-viz, Tom informs puppet design and achieves animation that is both precise and emotionally rich. His work is featured in the Star Wars "Holochess" sequences, The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, and Poker Face. Additional credits include The Matrix Revolutions, Enchanted, Ted, the Twilight trilogy and Charlotte's Web.
Tom is also an award-winning independent filmmaker: his stop-motion short The Hunger Artist won several festival awards and was longlisted for an Academy Award in 2004. With a reputation for both technical mastery and imaginative vision, Tom stands at the intersection of classic craft and forward-thinking innovation in animation. He has worked as a Freelance Illustrator, Welder and Fabricator, and Jewelry Designer. He started his film career with independent music videos, video games, Saturday morning cartoons and commercials. Several of his Independent Short Animated Films have won awards and been featured in foreign TV markets.
