"BACK ON THE STREETS"
Written by Richard Friedman and Vincent Cusano; Performed by 3 Speed

3 Speed's "Back on the Streets" was originally written by Richard Friedman and Vincent Cusano ("Vinnie Vincent") and produced by Phil Green and Ron St. Germaine for the 1984 Pia Zadora movie Voyage of the Rock Aliens. It was later covered by Europe's original guitarist John Norum for his 1987 solo album Total Control, then on the self-titled 1986 debut album by the Vinnie Vincent Invasion. Vincent is best known as the replacement for guitarist Ace Frehley in KISS, starting with the Lick It Up LP.

3-Speed enjoyed considerable success after the release of the Once Bitten soundtrack; at one point they were even opening for Pat Benatar. MCA Records, however, never petitioned the band to record a full-length LP, commissioning them instead to write songs for more soundtracks, including those for Rad and Savage Streets.

Over the past several years, in addition to live performances, 3 Speed lead vocalist Linda Chase has concentrated on studio production, programming, arranging and audio/visual computer skills, writing radio and TV musical images (jingles) for markets in 40 states, and songs for TV shows. She writes, arranges and produces for many aspiring artists (some in continued collaboration with Currier) and has most recently been in demand for her unique vocal coaching techniques which provide great results in achieving an artists very best performance in the studio.

Linda is a BMI affiliate, a member of AF of M (American Federation of Musicians) and of AFTRA (American Federation of Television and Radio Artists), is the recipient of a Freddy award for an educational film score, and is on the staff of highly-regarded Powerhouse Studio in Lunenburg, MA., www.powerhousestudio.com , where she is available to assist artists with their creative development on all levels.
