Hubert Kah (b. March 22 1961 in Reutlingen, Kinston Hubert Kemmler) is a German musician, composer, songwriter and producer. He was with the trio Hubert Kah (Hubert Kemmler: vocals, keyboards - Mark Loehr: guitars, keyboards - Klaus Hirschburger: bass) at the time of the Neue Deutsche Welle 1982. They had commercial success with the singles "Rose Marie," "Starry Sky," and "Only Once With Erika (... entflieh'n this world)," and with the albums "My Highlights" and "I'm Coming." The artist caused a stir, especially with TV appearances in a nightgown, or a straitjacket. Prior to his music career, he studied law at the University of Tuebingen. In 1984 came the trio's collaboration with producer Michael Cretu on a German-language album ( "Golden Age") followed in the English language, the albums "Tensongs" (1986) and "Sound of My Heart" (1989), which were partly successful internationally. Together with Cretu, Kemmler wrote and produced songs for other artists, including "Dancing Into Danger" for Inker and Hamilton,"Love at First Sight" for the band Münchener Freiheit, and hits by Sandra ("Maria Magdalena," "Heaven Can Wait," and many others). Sandra Kemmler was on background vocals. At the end of the 80s, Hubert Kah became ill with depression and withdrew completely. After his recovery in the mid-nineties, by Armand Volker Hubert Kah CD and its single-extraction produced "C'est la Vie," but this production of classical music wasn't commercially successful. In 1998, a new single, "Love Chain," was released with a best-of CD. After that, Kemmler became ill again and had to go back for treatment.
