Between each level, you have to choose a weapon or gadget from Q to bring with you. Upon completion of the game, the British Prime Minister thanks you for saving the world again.

Released for the Commodore 64, Amiga, Amstrad CPC and the BBC Micro, the game was a straightforward platform shooter game in which the player navigates James Bond through horizontally scrolling levels and shoots various adversaries. An arcade cabinet version by developer Arcadia was also released in the summer of 1987. ItŐs the second Bond game to coincide with the release of a new film. It starts out with the ŇtrainingÓ mission in Gibraltar straight from the film where the 00 Agents are doing a training mission and realize a traitor is among them actually trying to kill them. Right there is when it finally comes together with the first real spy element in these old computer Bond games. You shoot your fellow agents with paintballs as James, like in the film. However, one of them is the traitor and is dressed in a different color. You need to switch out to your PPK when you find him and shoot him for real. There are 8 levels in all: Gibraltar, The Lenin People's Music Conservatory, The Pipeline, The Mansion House, The Fairground, Tangiers, The Military Complex and Whittaker's House.
