Isn't love grand?
Not if you're name is Bachelor Man. Bachelor man
a.k.a Ted Davis lives in a world of constant pick up
lines and singles bars,. While his days are filled with
the schlock of creating new reality shows, his nights
are full of rapid fire pick up lines and flying sheets.
Unlike his buddies it all seems to work for Ted or
Bachelor Man (who makes his appearance via animation).
Things are great until Ted meets his arch nemesis
bachelorette woman who has disguised herself as the
beautiful Heather who lives next door. Like kryptonite
to Superman, the sound of her lovemaking through the
walls (she's a phone sex operator) and her spurning his
advances are making Bachelor Man weaker and weaker and
more in love. The more enamored Ted is, the worse he
gets at his job. The more in love, the more his single
friends, like an Al Pacino flick "keep pulling him back
in".
The Super-Hero analogy works great in comparison to
your usual boy meets/gets/loses/gets back girl genre
that grows so weary. A great performance by a very
energetic young cast and Ted's mom is just a hoot.
Finally the toilet seat up or down question is answered
in this fun film that never forces us to think too
hard.

wholesome fun! |
